Crypto Heatmap
Crypto never sleeps — and this live crypto heatmap keeps up. Bitcoin, Ethereum and the top altcoins appear as tiles, green when up, red when down, each sized by market cap. It is the fastest way to read whether the whole market is risk-on or risk-off, 24/7 and completely free.
Free, real-time and color-coded — no sign-up, no paywall.
How to read a heatmap
A heatmap turns an entire market into a single, color-coded picture so you can see what is moving at a glance — no scrolling through hundreds of tickers.
- Color = performance. Green tiles are up on the day and red tiles are down. The deeper the shade, the bigger the move — a sea of green means a broad rally, a wall of red means a sell-off.
- Tile size = weight. Bigger tiles are bigger companies by market capitalization (or heavier index weight). Mega-caps dominate the map, while smaller names sit in the corners.
- Grouped by sector. Tiles are clustered into sectors — technology, financials, energy and so on — so you can instantly tell whether a move is broad-based or driven by one corner of the market.
- Tap any tile to drill in and switch the time frame from today's move to weekly, monthly or year-to-date performance.
Prices update as the market moves and the colors shift with them. Data may be delayed depending on the exchange.
What is a crypto heatmap?
A crypto heatmap is a single-screen map of the cryptocurrency market. Every coin is a rectangle: its color shows how it is performing and its size reflects its market capitalization. Bitcoin and Ethereum usually take the largest tiles, with altcoins, layer-1s, DeFi tokens and stablecoins filling in around them.
Because crypto tends to move together, the map is a great sentiment gauge — a wall of green signals a market-wide rally, while a sea of red signals a broad drawdown.
Bitcoin, Ethereum and altcoins at a glance
The heatmap makes rotation obvious. When Bitcoin is flat but the altcoin tiles are glowing green, capital is rotating down the risk curve into smaller coins; when Bitcoin turns red, altcoins often fall harder. Stablecoins stay near zero, so they act as calm anchors on the map.

Frequently asked questions
What is a crypto heatmap?
It is a visual map of the cryptocurrency market where each coin is a colored tile. Green means the coin is up, red means down, and tile size reflects market capitalization. Bitcoin and Ethereum usually take the largest tiles.
Is the crypto heatmap live and free?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up and updates in real time. Crypto trades 24/7, so the map keeps moving around the clock, though data may be delayed depending on the source.
What do the colors and sizes mean?
Green tiles are coins that are up and red tiles are down, with a deeper shade meaning a larger move. Tile size reflects each coin's market capitalization, so Bitcoin and Ethereum dominate while smaller altcoins appear as smaller tiles.
Can I see altcoins as well as Bitcoin?
Yes. The map covers Bitcoin, Ethereum and a wide range of altcoins — layer-1s, DeFi tokens and stablecoins — so you can watch how money rotates between them in real time.
