How is it calculated?
Every result is calculated on an adjusted-close basis. This method reflects stock splits and cash dividends back into the historical price, so the figure you see is the total return — assuming dividends were reinvested along the way.
Take a dividend-paying bank stock: a 'price only' calculation that ignores dividends understates the real return. That is why every result shows both figures side by side — total return (dividends included) and price only.
