What is dollar-cost averaging (DCA)?

DCA (dollar-cost averaging) means investing a fixed amount at regular intervals instead of trying to time the market. When prices are high you buy fewer shares, and when they're low you buy more — so your outcome depends less on any single day's price.

This calculator assumes each monthly contribution buys in at that month's adjusted price (dividends treated as reinvested, splits accounted for). The chart shows your total contributions next to what they're worth today.
